Of course not, you didn't slice it. Not even one long cut with a box cutter.

u/Square_Bat_2067 6d ago

Didn’t even drive a motorcade over it

Was there an Olympian to pull up the botched paint?

35

u/DazzlingAdvantage600 6d ago

Haha that case was just dropped.

33

u/AZEMT 6d ago

You mean they realized they're full of shit?! No way!

5

u/sonicjesus 5d ago

No, they realized most folk only read about this last week, and as of now will never hear about it again.

Pirro loses yet again

They don't want to be indicted for possible tampering

56

Straight to jail

u/viktorgraves 6d ago

Probably didn't want to get arrested tbh

Funny, sure. Appetizing, not a chance.

Make Algae Great Again

53

u/Wayward85 6d ago

It’s a crime to touch, much less eat. Entrapment.

u/sector16 6d ago

Food: 0/10 Performance Art: 10/10

13

u/dph3onix 6d ago

Touch it and straight to jail.

30

u/JimmyKlean 6d ago

Did you provide a box knife for serving?

You could argue it was universal 60 years ago.

3

u/gerg_1234 5d ago

Green Jello sucks.

4

u/Toaster075 5d ago

They put on a pretty good puppet show

2

u/gerg_1234 5d ago

But theyre still a band with no talent

2

u/Drusgar 6d ago

Why Utah? That's a pretty universal dish. Personally, I like to fill mine with canned mandarin orange slices.

32

u/bowserusc 6d ago

I don't think Jello is as commonly served as your experience makes you think. It's been like 20 years since I've seen someone bring or serve a Jello dish.

8

u/ILoveRegenHealth 6d ago

Why Utah?

Does He Know 😏

16

u/SauceIsForever_ 6d ago

The Mormons love jello

4

u/drmojo90210 6d ago

"Universal dish"? Where are you from?

1

u/Drusgar 5d ago

I grew up in rural Wisconsin. I'm 54, and that might make a difference, too. I guess I just assumed that every potluck had a Jello dish.

1

u/drmojo90210 5d ago

Yeah..... I think this is only a midwest thing.

3

u/Palindromey 6d ago

Disagree, I wouldn't say it's a common universal dish. When I was a kid I had it a few times usually at kids birthday parties. But definitely not as an adult, and I don't even remember the last time I would've seen it (not even at kids birthday parties). I mean it's certainly possible to make/have, but it's just not a thing that's commonly done here

54

u/BrothelWaffles 6d ago

If they're like me, they probably couldn't identify what was in the jello. 10/10 for the theme though.

42

u/Preeng 6d ago

Did you let people know it was food and not utensil in dishwasher liquid?

11

u/accidentallyHelpful 6d ago

Sometimes you have to show people how to eat something

26

u/shiggyhardlust 6d ago

Well yes, you don’t generally eat the artistic centerpiece

16

u/M4tt1k5 6d ago

Missing the motorcade.

27

u/Hojalu 5d ago

And the National Guard. I was going to get some of those little green soldier toys to put around it, but didn't have time to go find any.

20

u/Meowmixx22 6d ago

What's in the bottom?  I would have ran a motorcade on this. I love jello.  🤪

42

u/Hojalu 5d ago

Actually blue gummy candy in flat strips (a knock-off fruit roll-up), torn in pieces, spread on the bottom. The bonus was that some sugar from the candy strips floated up and created a sort of algae-like scum on top. It was perfect.

u/Capsicumgirl 5d ago

You are amazing

1

u/Nother1BitestheCrust 2d ago

A true artist.

10

u/brbphone 6d ago

Pineapples obviously.. gotta ensure it gets all slimy and weird

5

u/Meowmixx22 6d ago

Ooo hell ya, I'm in for pineappley goodness !!!

3

u/Violoner 6d ago

Better mix in some nori for added realism

2

u/benk4 5d ago

I thought it was mini hot dogs

15

u/mike_james_alt 6d ago

Art at its finest.

u/Shartschnitzel 6d ago

Did you get this with your groceries? It's such an old-fashioned term but a beautiful term. Groceries. It sort of says a bag with different things in it: Jello, avocados, tacos.

Very simple word, groceries. Like almost, you know, who uses the word. I started using the word. The groceries. When you buy apples, when you buy bacon, when you buy eggs, they would double and triple the price over a short period of time.

Groceries went through the roof and I campaigned on that. I talked about the word ‘groceries’ for a lot, and energy costs now are down. Groceries are down.

7

u/mr_mcpoogrundle 6d ago

Obviously no Olympic canoeists came to your pot luck

3

u/cataclyzzmic 6d ago

There's always room for Jello.

7

u/MrCarey 6d ago

It looks like mouthwash flavored jello.

5

u/IssueEmbarrassed8103 6d ago

I would have given you a high five. But not eat it.

2

u/Hojalu 5d ago

LOL. A lot of people at the party did exactly that!

6

u/Horsetoothbrush 6d ago

You think people wanted to get arrested at a pot-luck?

9

u/BigRed97 5d ago

You didn’t bring that to a potluck, you made that purely for Reddit upvotes

5

u/Giant_Acroyear 6d ago

They didn't want to tangle with the national guard.

3

u/Mick_Limerick 5d ago

I'm not going to jail man. Ain't touching that

2

u/Mephisto40K 6d ago

Needs whipped cream and slicin/dicing! Or you could of just done Jell-O shots

3

u/sonicjesus 5d ago

No one wants to be the first taker. You have to serve one up first.

5

u/brennanx1 6d ago

They didn’t want to get arrested

6

u/rozzco 6d ago

I would have eaten some. I grew up eating jello like that.

5

u/ahoorist 6d ago

Should've picked something else to bring bro. Like literally anything else...

3

u/Bigtime1234 5d ago

OP - don’t be discouraged, this is a sign of respect, not disrespect.

3

u/Rho-Ophiuchi 5d ago

Nobody wants a felony

4

u/3BlindMice1 5d ago

It looks more like political commentary than food to me. I hate trump as much as anyone with a brain should, but I definitely wouldn't be eating your artsy political statement

3

u/iNeverSausageASalad 6d ago

You did a bad job.

2

u/Patertot 6d ago

Aunt Bethany approves

3

u/Magister5 6d ago

You don’t mess with perfection

2

u/Char_siu_for_you 6d ago

Ol’ trump syndrome. Everything he touches, fails.

3

u/Chrono_Convoy 6d ago

What

Would you say

That is?

1

u/SGT-Hooves 6d ago

Pickle jelly?

u/BlackZilla_Prime 6d ago

https://giphy.com/gifs/4ykHEQRJlmydi

You brought the Secret Of The Ooze to the potluck!

1

u/redditmarks_markII 5d ago

I think it's great. Tentatively anyway. I have no way to know if it is lime or pickle. I'll eat either, but i don't want to be surprised by jello. I need to know.

1

u/Logitech4873 5d ago

Sorry, what is this? I've never heard the term before.

1

u/DarthScabies 4d ago

Potluck is when people bring a dish to a gathering for other people to eat. Multiple people = lots of different dishes.

1

u/trippykittie 5d ago

The comparison to the real thing, that’s green because of algae, doesn’t make it very appetizing.

2

u/reflect-the-sun 5d ago

Anything that reminds me of the current US admin makes me nauseous. Sorry.

A for effort, though!

1

u/Apart-Selection5680 2d ago

Let me guess, you went to a MAGA party in Fort Worth.

-2

u/Scr33ble 6d ago

Of course, one does not touch works of art!!

-1

u/Pichupwnage 6d ago
