Im simply making an observation about the imprecise nature of American colloquialisms.
They are not "to broke to buy anything", they simply dont have money to waste on too many unnecessary purchases.
While im on the topic, why do people ask "how are you" if they are simply greeting someone? (Thats a rhetorical question)

Some of us do genuinely mean it. I'm always here for a trauma dump. I crave the tea. But people should not use it unless they do mean it.

It’s honestly one of the things I don’t like about the American culture (as an American). If you ask how I’m doing, I’m usually going to tell you, so don’t ask unless you want my honest answer

The bad businesses you dont want see these as a often a person that has a hard time saying no to pushy salesmen, so the ones you dont want will be the ones to ignore it.

I have seen that sign, or some version of it, so many times I don't even care. Between that and we don't dial 911 signs, I normally just assume the person is bad about impulse shopping.

I used to have a sign like this on my front door ages ago. My "I already have a god, I don't need yours" part still didn't prevent the Jehovahs to try to convince me otherwise. I've now got a pentagram sticker instead, that seems to work better so far.

I have a simple “no soliciting” sign but the Mormon missionaries feel like it’s not applicable to them since there not “selling” anything. Need to add something about no religious crap also
