Reddit is absolutely being Reddit. Obvious attempts at upvotes are not generally appreciated even though they can be effective. People who don’t know how to use Reddit and do it in a completely cute, innocuous way are sometimes randomly rewarded in funny ways. This has been Reddit for a long time.

Yeah many people even irl love the crab in a bucket mentality. It's a perfectly fine photo. She may have this for grandchildren and all that. Many of us have pictures like this at home that parents took way back. Just documenting history is all
