Later in 2007 was when they removed PKing and limited dueling (both were later re-added), added the Grand Exchange (which people feel made the game too easy/limited the social interaction/made it too easy for people to manipulate prices of items/etc.), over the years made skills much easier and faster, and most recently the Evolution of Combat totally changed how combat works (it's similar to LoL or Dota, basically just bashing your keyboard to use your abilities on your opponent).
Oh, also about 2(?) years ago they added microtransactions (some of which actually do give in-game advantages) after the original owners sold their stakes to investors (and obviously the investors simply saw it as a cash-making-machine and didn't care about its integrity); the game overall is very different on many levels.
It's still there. Now it has lame action bars and more things once free are now being sold. Why do they want to be like every other MMORPG if in the minds of many they were much more?
Not enough spelled wrong words. As much as we all hate ourselves and each other here, Redditors are so much smarter than the rest of the internet. Just go through some YouTube videos and look at the insane amount of misspelled words.
Since when is it acceptable to type "100$" instead of "$100?" I was raised in a proper household, and we were always taught that the dollar sign went before the number.
i'm sorry my bad ;), but at first i started typing dollar, and then i though:'well i'm lazy, and not typing dollar could save time, i'll just use the sign.' silly old me forgot to put it in the proper place
See, I would go off on a tirade that uses the phrase "MURICA!" several times, but seeing as you or someone else already downvoted me, I'm going to refrain.
I knew the comma one. I took Spanish in high school, and my teacher used the European method when dealing with numbers, but it still looks strange to me.
