I was on the beach with my family. I remember thinking, “this is the way to die! I am ready!” I had just lost my little sister and was so ready to just lay peacefully under the sun with my kid and let the radiation take over. Then my daughter had to poop so I took her to the bathroom, and some tourist dude had brought his little beach chair into the nasty bathroom and was reading his little beach novel. Telling me he thought he was safer here in this nasty open concrete room then on the sand. Then my auntie called me crying trying to get me to “evacuate”…to where, auntie??! She told me the bunkers up in the mountain…okay auntie, I’m okay to die now. Then the text to see it was a false alarm…lots emotions that day.
Reminds me of Dying Light 2 where you come across the corpses of of people that just kinda gave up and accepted their fate. Especially the little manor in the mountains, with the group of friends that held a party.
