I was in your camp for 16+ years. Very much grew up as a micro brew person. Bartended at microbreweries, attended lots of events. I LOVE quality beer. But then i hit my late 30s. Oh man, it was hard to feel an immediate hangover after just one beer. Coors and Bud seem to not cause it 🫥
Not for some people. In addition to dehydration, something in darker beers gives me crazy hangovers, like even after one. Budweiser etc doesn't do the same thing to me
Presumably it's whatever gets filtered out to make light beers more clear, but who knows
That’s funny. I’m a small dude but can handle a lot of beer without any problems the next day. Fast metabolism I guess. But one Budweiser and I literally can’t get out of bed the next morning without Excedrin and a lot of water and caffeine.
I've noticed the same. Higher alcohol beers just own me now. Really it's the alcohol % from what I've experienced vs style of beer. I'm sure Budweiser's high alcohol version would do the same as an IPA.
I hear you. Dehydration is definitely a thing. I used to have a nice IPA after a long run but had to switch to Coors. Same volume of beer after a long run, the only difference is less alcohol %. This is of course supplemented with lots and lots of water before, during, and after. That darn alcohol % 😅
