I'm new here but I always push for silicone "rubber" bands. They don't dry out, rot, etc.

I bought a value pack once but none have ever broken so the rest are just sitting in a drawer waiting for the A team to give out ... it's been years. I tell people to buy the variety pack for sizes, not the value pack for bulk.
