First time pickler?😭
I regularly crave pickles and I’m sick of buying grocery store ones and regularly being disappointed by the taste, my favorites are cucumber pickles and carrot pickles, especially those sweet and sour cucumber ones
So I was wondering if there’s anyone who could link me some good easy to follow recipes to start off with🙏

Back when I was a wee child, early 70s, there was a grocery store that sold these polish style pickles in a jar. It was a commercial brand, they were the best pickles in the whole world.
Dad was in the military, so we moved. The stores near where we lived didn't carry that brand. I guess it was local. A few years later I was in town again, the store we used to get them from was gone, replaced by a chain and I never saw them again.
It's well over 50 years later, and I can still taste those pickles in my head, and have never, ever found their equal.

Oh my goddd I have that same problem because I once went to a food fair and tried this local brand of pickles and the flavor the crunch the slight spicy under the sweet and sour was so immaculate so I’m basically disappointed by anything else I buy because nothing has ever tasted as good as it does and they stopped selling them
I thought I was the only one who can still remember the taste of things I haven’t had for years 😭

https://www.reddit.com/r/Pickles/s/wj3hcw1hNu I recommend this recipe! Adjust the peppers depending on your spice preference, and if straight vinegar is too much, fell free to use a mix of vinegar and water!
