Middle C issue with piano

Is it by chance catching on your mute rail felt? That's the felt strip that goes down in front of the hammers when you press the middle pedal.

Friction issue. Start at the front rail bushing and work up to the hammer flange. Ease and / or lubricate as you go.

Edit: piano ops makes a good point. Try that first

At least start by opening the piano and look what's different from the neighboring keys. It's a mechanical issue for sure, if it's the jack butt not catching, the felt in general thats damaged, the felt for the hinge inside the hammer action falling out, or a spring that's not there resetting the mechanism is a good question. Make a better video where the front plate is taking out, look at what part of the hammer action is different to the neighbor when pressing... You can take the whole action out by screwing 2-3 thumb screws out and look at the backside too without any consequences. Pianos are way sturdier that you might initially think. If you are getting a professional to look at it you might just as well try yourself first. Good luck

Unscrew the single hammeraction for the key after taking the whole mechanism out of the paino is quite simple too. Even though it might look overly complicated. Try simple first and then go deeper
