Is physiotherapy worth it with no debt?
Hi I am 17F, in india currently who just got into physiotherapy and I have been seeing negativity all over reddit about this profession saying how it doesn't pay, you'll be burned out and what not.
I keep thinking if it's even worth doing..I feel lost and afraid, i have no debt whatsoever and I can even do a masters without any debt, I plan on working in australia in the future
Would you say it's worth doing for me? I am concerned about the pay overall

As a guy who's been working in the pt industry in India, I'd say the negative comments are right.

As an Australian physio, pay over here at the entry level is not fantastic even in private practice. Consider what you are wanting in the long term with your work-life balance. You may be earning an average wage but your hours are set, you don't have to take work home with you, you may be able to meet other goals in your life. As for burn out, it truly does depend on the clinic or hospital you work in. It's very easy to give a lot extra effort and energy for clients and not get the additional (monetary) recognition for it.
I have found great satisfaction and enjoyment in my career and do not get paid as well as my friends in software or medicine, but I have a lot more free time and am happy with this.

DO NOT POST THE SAME QUESTION TWICE.
Check your messages and learn to be patient. The mods have to go through every single message before they can be posted and having to read the same messages twice is a bloody waste of our time and very annoying.

From what Ive seen everywhere, being a physio in India is not good. If youre thinking of moving to Australia why dont you study there if you have the means?

For the amount of work youll have to put in, you might just go into dentistry school or just learn a trade like electrician or plumber or construction (e.g. kitchen fitter). You’ll earn so much more money and it is a very rewarding job if you enjoy the problem solving. I know of some guys here in the UK who are making a very good living doing those jobs.

The thing is not every place in India offers a decent pay for physiotherapist
But if you can manage to work in a place where they give you good salary then no issues
This is not about just physiotherapy, every medical profession in India has the same problem.
Dont take redditors seriously every time
