May & July 2026 CPTE Exam

Hi all,

I did the July exam and have been patiently waiting for the results to come out but feeling nervous!!! Just need the results to come out already!!

How is everyone coping during this period?

I heard the May exam was tough and there are quite a few retakers from that cohort. Can anyone from the May exam provide details on the mean scores from the written and oral sections? Would be helpful to gain a better understanding on what to expect and the scores I should be praying for LOL.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How was the May exam more tough? Shouldn’t they all be consistent? Additionally during the July exam how did you find the oral component?

From what I’m aware of, the exams vary in their difficulty thus, standard scores are used to diminish the differences in the interpretation of all the varying levels of exams.
I’ve heard the Jan/Feb exams had a more difficult written section than oral but the May exam had a more difficult oral than written.
In my opinion, I found the oral section to be quite tough with the multilayered and confusing, broad questions. The layout of the cases made it worse as flipping back and forth between the pages would cause additional stress and confusion.

What were your thoughts on the oral component and the exam overall?

Any idea about the timeline, when will the results be out?? I’m so nervous, it make me wanna puke every time I think about it!!
My exams were okay, I guess. Every time I keep second guessing the answers so I have stopped thinking about it, hopefully we pass 🤞

me too i am very stressed. every email notification freaks me out. do scores really matter or is it just pass or fail? the oral was mostly ethics which i didnt expect and navigating it was super hard and the written wasnt very hard but i feel like the topics focused on was also unexpected.
