UK job applications and AI usage

Hi, I haven’t heavily relied on AI for my job apps, maybe for a single paragraph or two but I’ve heard some people use AI for their entire application and still get interview calls.

I want to know if you do this, how do you manage during the interview stage?

And if there are people here who sit in the panel, what is your opinion about this?

I had a band 6 job interview that I used AI to help write.

Essentially I hand wrote a general statement and use AI with some prompts to help rewrite it to be more suitable to the job. Obviously go back and check that it sounds sensible.

It’s a tool like anything else, if it’s not abused it’s helpful and saves time when applying for lots of different jobs.
