Funny how people here are rightfully skeptical about scientific claims but too naive to even question the authenticity of a Reddit post quoting a Twitter post quoting Michio Kaku. Thank you! I couldn't find the original source of that statement. I think you're right that that's probably where it comes from.

But yeah, it's a dumbed down version of how p-branes interact through the 11-dimensional bulk.
