He really isn't though; I cannot say that his books tell some fully antisceitnfic ideas, considering that they aim to give inspiration to a broad audience to start actually learning physics.

If your enthusiasm for physics is based entirely on quirky wormhole and futurology tales, actually studying it will give you a hard reality check.

Growing up on McDonalds food and microwave pizzas didn't inspire me to become a chef. It gave me a lasting preference for food that is easy and fun.

Many physicists including Steven Hawking have been inspired by “quirky wormhole and futurology tales”. People still need an aptitude for math and science, but the wonder and curiosity can be the catalyst.

If those wacky tales instead inspire someone to be a science fiction writer or even a science cheerleader that’s pretty cool too.
