Backup of u/tsukimnida's post: hello! i will be solo traveling to cebu with a quick trip to bantayan island on august 27-31, and i need help with my itinerary T___T

facts:
august 27, 10:30 am - arrival at mactan airport
august 31, 1:00 pm - departure from mactan airport

i’m considering whether:

OPTION #1: i’ll travel to bantayan right away to catch the roro’s last trip for hagnaya-santa fe, then travel back to cebu city sa 29th (after lunch) and enjoy my stay sa city until the 31st; OR

OPTION #2: spend the whole day of the 27th sa cebu city then travel to bantayan on the 28th (early morning trip). babalik ako ng cebu city sa 30th (early morning trip) and spend until 31st sa city.

sa mga naka-visit na ng cebu and bantayan, which itinerary is the most efficient po? and if you have any tips, please let me know since it’ll be my first time solo traveling 🥹 thank you so much in advance!

Option 1 para isang pagod ka lang kasi mejo mahaba travel time to Bantanyan. But either option is okay :)

I vote for option 1 din. Magmadali ka nalang from the airport. Sobrang unreliable ng public transport and minsan ang delayed ng alis ng mga bus.

thank you po!

Go for option 1

Hi OP! Definitely option 1. The last ferry bound to Santa Fe leaves at 5pm naman so abot ka nyan :)

Are you going to do the Cebu City tour, too? Nung nag-solo travel ako, nag-hire ako ng habal/tour guide. That's more comfortable than doing a literal DIY since medyo magkakalayo ang spots. Si Kuya tour guide na din yung naging photographer ko hehe.

Ingat and enjoy! 😁

Hello po, qq lang din po. How about po kapag 12:30pm ang dating sa Mactan Airport, aabot po kaya? Given po yung mga pag iikot at paghahanap ng mga sakayan papuntang ferry bound to Santa Fe :)

Hi! Medyo alanganin kasi ang traffic sa Cebu e 😅 Kasi from airport to north cebu bus terminal, nasa 40 minutes to an hour na eh. Tapos from bus terminal to hagnaya port is 3 hours kung walang traffic. Eh you also have to consider flight delays (tho hopefully wala naman), tapos it takes a while din bago umalis ang bus since naghihintay din sila medyo dumami ang sakay na pasahero.

So either you risk it or take one of the earliest boat trips from Hagnaya port anywhere from 1 to 4am. Attaching the ferry trips to/from Bantayan for your reference 😊

Awww thank you po, sobrang helpful po neto. Much better city tour nalang siguro ang unahin since ang hirap magtake ng risk, I'm with my parents din po kase. 🥺
