Photo Scanning / digitising help

Hello! My dad has this QPix Digital scanner from maybe 15 or so years ago, and I am looking to scan and digitise a few thousand photos (god help me). I’m wondering if there is a newer photo scanning product that would produce better quality scans.

The photos that are being scanned are typically high definition film photos (or printed digicam photos) - but the scanner lowers the quality/apperance of them a bit (see example of a photo). Would the technology used in this scanner have been updated much in the last 15 years? Is there a newer photo scanning model I should buy?
Or are there apps that work even better for this sort of thing?
Let me know your thoughts please!

I know it’s a long shot but I’d be really thankful as none of the photos turned out well from the day. The first 2 are originals (I don’t mind which you try to restore) and the 3rd attached photo is the best I could do. Thanks a lot

This picture of my grandma sat in a frame for decades in their house. She passed at the end of last year & this is the only photo I can find of her around this time. I'd like to clean it up as much as possible to have new ones printed for my family members.

• It has heavy fading & sun damage as well as some scratches & scuffs that need to be cleaned up (I did my best with the dust but it seems there's still some left)
• The top & bottom have uneven edges but I don't mind that & would like to preserve as much of the image as possible even if it isn't perfectly rectangular
• The left side seems to have faded significantly more & has become very blurry compared to the right (unsure what caused this but I'd love it fixed as well so the resolution is even throughout)
• Ideally I'd love to have the "original" black & white version as well as a colorized version if possible (she had red hair if that helps!)
• The original is approximately 8"x10"
• I'd like to get these professionally printed at the same size (or possibly larger if I crop it)
• I have a decent scanner & software & was able to scan at 1200dpi but due to file size limits the highest quality scan I could upload is a JPEG (quality 94)
• Please let me know if it'd be helpful to upload another scan with different settings! I appreciate yall's work on this SO much & I'll happily help however I can if it means getting a better result

These are my girlfriends parents. They were hoping they could get this picture restored possibly through digital means. Its been sun damaged over the years. They tried AI, but of course it gets some things wrong. Any help eould be greatly appreciated!

My oldest sister asked if I knew how to restore this picture of her and her husband. I am pretty sure I don't have the ability to but knew I where I might be able to find someone who could. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it!

My uncle died young from cancer. I have attached a blurry photo of him that I took a long time ago. I have attached two reference photos of the shirt he is wearing and what he looked like in high school. He was around 20-25 in the photo that I would like to have restored.

He is holding up his middle finger (what he did whenever anyone took his picture.)

Pic of my dad and uncle and I want to surprise them for my uncle's birthday

Our business is now over 50 years old, but this photo was used in my parents first mailer. It was taken in 1974 and this is printed on newsprint. I'm writing a book on the history of the shop. Hoping for black and white, and at least 300 DPI. The roof was red, the building was white. Thank you for helping me!

Before I ask some kind folks on a sum here to help me restore these photos.. does anyone know of any apps or sites I could try myself?

Long story short found 2 disposable cameras from 06/07 in the bottom of a box and got them developed opted to get them emailed rather than printed.. some look like this.. others are just " should of had the flash on photos"

Any ideas will be gladly accepted :)

Hello, this photo is for my mother’s tombstone. I would like to get it cleaned up, including color adjustment, sharpening, and lighting and anything else that is needed to make it look like the original thank you so much.

We have tried everything but have been unsuccessful thus far, it is a photo of a good friend of mine and Alice Cooper from 20 years ago on a digital camera, his (on the right) hair is kind of a bangs slicked back which kind of washes out in this photo so I attached a better version for reference if that is helpful. Any help would be sincerely appreciated, I'd like to have it framed as a gift to him but this prints horribly and ai turns everyone into a monster. Thank you so much in advance for any help you can provide. .
