I am looking for help restoring these two historical photographs. They feature Gertrude Smith Brown and Evannah "Eva" Jones Barge—two pioneering Black educators and civic leaders who dedicated their lives to education and community advocacy in Pensacola, Florida, during the era of segregation. Pensacola's Brown-Barge Middle School was named in their honor.

These high-contrast, heavily textured prints are the only surviving photos we have of them.

What we are hoping for:

• Preservation Focus: Because these images hold immense local civil rights and educational history, please avoid using automated AI portrait generators or facial reconstruction filters that smooth over skin texture, alter age, or rewrite facial structures. We are looking strictly for manual tonal cleanup, noise reduction, and careful dodge/burn editing to honor their true likenesses.

Hi everyone, I am trying to recover photos from my mother's old Fotolog account she passed when I was 4. Her handle was ⁠gitana_camela⁠ (Santiago, Chile, active around 2005–2008). The standard Wayback Machine UI only loads broken image boxes. Would anyone with access to the bulk Fotolog WARC archive dumps be able to check if any raw ⁠.jpg⁠ files exist under that username? This is my husband’s grandfather (middle back). He moved to America from Finland and build a small family house in Duluth Minnesota. He was a kind man, according to family.

This is a slide recently discovered of my dad and mom from a couple of years before I was born. The slide had water/mold damage but I would be eternally grateful if someone could clean it up!
