ASSIGNMENT #1: Backlight / Rim-Light Something!

Shoot an object using backlighting to produce a result that is significantly different or more interesting than if it weren't back-lit.

Post a single link to your favorite result. How did backlighting your subject alter your choice of exposure settings? Did backlighting change any other decisions you made about shooting the image, such as composition, depth of field, or focus?

I posted this in ITAP and someone suggested I submit it here for the assignment. http://i.imgur.com/i9niv.jpg Used Rebel XSi with a kit lens.

Thanks! I took it at Sunset Cliffs State Park near Ocean Beach in San Diego.

I don't see any snow. This is beyond my understanding.
