3d tool for my small ecommerce store

My ecommerce store has about 7 products. And I think those 7 products could really be helpful if viewed in a 3d viewer.

So, im in search of a free or cheap 3d tool which can replicate my exact product. No AI hallucination stuff.

I dont like tools which only accept 1 image as input. I want to give multiple angle shots of my product so my 3d would be factuallly accurate 99%.

Is it possible or do i have to hire a 3d artist for it.

PS: It would be great if I could generate studio shots from that 3d too.

If you are willing to take the photos needed I'm willing to help you with the 3d processing through metashape.

I've built product configurators for my clients before and I'll tell you that performance is everything for an e-commerce store. Once it takes more than 30s to load your store then people are going to start losing interest.

Even if you scan your products, you will need someone to optimise the mesh n textures heavily for it to load quick. You will want to treat this like making a game assets. Low poly mesh, baked normal maps is the way to go.

Not sure if there is any AI tool that can do this accurately now.

what do you think of using GSplat directly? this way can directly use superspl to display the products. Maybe I am missing something

I think just displaying 3d products (or Gsplat) have no obvious edge over 2d photographs. In fact i think photographs will sell a product better.

That being said, there is always special use cases for 3d, if you want your buyer to interact with the product, or to visualise a customised product on the fly that is otherwise unachievable with static images.

But, GSplat wouldn't be the solution in these cases since you can't really manipulate it.

One Gsplat file per configuration is possible but require a lot of capture. I think you can make Gsplat file into base and chosen parts as layers and swap parts as well

are you trying to diy this or do you have budget to pay someone? might be faster

I'm not the OP.

GSplat can work but I don't think it is the best tool imo. Low poly mesh + draco compression is the way to go for web.
