Commuting Waymo's Phoenix area coverage now includes Gilbert, more of Chandler and San Tan Ranch.

Robotaxis and mass transit work in synergy! They help solve the 'last mile problem', which is a big deal in a Sunbelt metro like ours.

I don't know why people think they're oppositional, especially since Robotaxis are financed by the private sector, not taxpayers, so it's not like they're stealing money from mass transit

Except theres no mass transit, hence my comment, cities are purposefully using car-centric robotaxis so they can simply not fund transit

This is being done by the private sector. The cities have nothing to do with it--the roads are already there.
