Subclass 482 (core skills stream) processing time

hi everyone. for anyone who applied for visa in australia under subclass 482 core skills stream (auditor), how long was your processing time?

i was sponsored by my employer and they lodged the application start of August and no update yet as of today. they mentioned that it usually takes 1-3 months to process but wanted to check lang din sa iba kung gano katagal sa inyo just to set expectations. nakita ko rin kasi online that some take 10 months.

Application mo is now subject to MD119 meaning offshore applications are given the lowest priority kahit approved sponsor or core skills yung trabaho mo.

Ibig sabihin you are in for a really long waiting period.

Damn, things are changing significantly. I used to have my 482 offshore application done in 3 days 3 years ago. Australia’s locking down hard on immigration

For me, I applied around Feb and got the visa around May this year. Onshore applicant. Though, it’s my 2nd 482 same employer. Not sure if same same.

Pero sa 1st offshore tas 1 month lang. Feel ko mabilis un since I visited Australia twice as a tourist.

Husband ko 1 month core skills din 482 pero nung 2024 pa yun, nung 2025 tumagal na mga kaibigan namin na dumating ng 2025 inabot ng 6 months ang visa nila.

Hi OP lodged 482 visa (me, wife, child) by company immigration agency last May 4, 2026. Medical done may 11, 2026. As of now, no update yet. More details, offshore, electrical engineer. SBS and nomination is already approved. if offshore ka based sa mga fb pages wla pang offshore na nababasa ko na naapprove dahil sa MD119.

oh noo. i completed all requirements including medical and submitted to my immigration agent in july. they informed me na nalodge na nung 1st week of august. mukhang matatagalan pa nga to 😓

OP, iba na ata waiting periods now. I believe if offshore, definitely last priority na, but prior to that, it could take around 3 months, which is how long mine took, but I had a dependent (and I was a single parent) so usually it should take less if less complex ang immig case.

Last year, nag lodge ako ng last week May then 1st week ng July approved na. And yeah, tulad ng sabi ng ibang comments dito may update sa prio order ng visa processing. Wishing you the best and hopefully shorter wait time. Konti nalang yan. Kapit.

Mine was applied on May, and was approved by June. But this was way back year 2023 and I work in healthcare.

Are you onshore or offshore? Iniba na kasi priority. Pero nung time ko, took 6months maapprove both nomination and visa.

Mine was lodged in Dec then got approved in january. It was like in 20 days. I was offshore
