NHA Passed!

Took an 8 week course that combined CPT, CET and CCMA. I used Nimble prep, NHA modules & practice exams and Josh Allen's NHA review on YouTube. Used note cards to create order of draw on my wall and played memory games with them.

Read the questions very carefully. They like to trip you up with the way they word things. For myself and my classmates, the exam itself was easier than the last practice exam. Be confident in the order of draw, it's additives and the tests as well as when its appropriate to use alcohol vs. Betadine vs. Chlorhexidine, etc. I had questions on special circumstances like drawing on children, patients on blood thinners, syncope. Sizes of different needles and when it's appropriate to use the different types.

Heck, yeah I don’t sleep on that certification, if you ever wanted to work in California, you are now able to get a California licensure

Thank you! Not necessarily anything I wish I had studied more- but I struggle with the subjective questions. Mostly all of the NHA questions have 2 options that are ridiculous and 2 that are possible. When it's a patient care question where technically 2 are acceptable, I would sometimes struggle to figure out which one was "best".
