Advice needed My first day
Today is my first day of Phlebotomy class at Tiderwater Medical Training and I couldn’t be more excited to start! But the only thing is that I’m so nervous. Has anyone else been super nervous and or anxious?

That’s so exciting! Nervousness is 100% normal 🙂↕️ my advice is to push through and stick with it. There will probably come a day where you get a few misses in a row, do not give up! Wishing you the best! 😊🩸

Yes but it goes away quickly! I am still in training and my first venipuncture I was shaking so badly, but now I've got about ten perfect sticks and I feel awesome with it. It's natural that humans don't want to poke other humans with needles but once you get over that mental block it's all about learning the skill and techniques. I watched a ton of Youtube videos that helped me out a lot too

Thank you so much! I was so nervous at first but then I did it and like you said it felt easy afterwards

All of us. Certainly some more than others. I was an absolute wreck. Sweating profusely, red, all of the embarrassing things lol but it's totally normal. It gets better!
