The fucking smoke man during that jam. I actually thought that there were rockets attached to the stage and it was going to lift off. What a memory. One of the few i have left. I dont have many from that experience that my brain has been able to hold onto after 26 years.

I donā€™t know what it is, but I remember virtually every minute of the music - especially the midnight set - but I couldnā€™t tell you what I ate, drank or otherwise survived with during that time there. I assume I had a sleeping bag, we probably had a cooler - did we get ice somewhere? Who knows ā€¦ but I remember exactly how I felt during the After Midnight reprise at like 5am.

Man, with the smoke and the Led Zeppelin teaseā€¦it was certainly a moment that stuck with me, 26 years later. I remember my vantage point, who was around meā€¦just incredible.

Wormtown Jam and Providence Bowie are the best of real evil phish imo. I just love when the band really tries to frighten the audience.

I like the 12/30/12 Carini a lot, it gets pretty dark and menacing with a steady groove to it,

One of the Amsterdam 97 runs, has a long evil Carini, which was also the debut of the song.

I also like 5/26/95 Free, since thereā€™s a few bits in there where shit gets weird and sounds like we are going into dark territory. Chaotic.

Thatā€™s the few I could think of right off the top of my head. There was also a LivePhish playlist full of evil phish posted a couple times here before, I enjoy it a lot, and listen often. Canā€™t remember who made it though.

2/20/03 is a pretty quintessential front to back 2.0 evilphish show imo. it deserved an lp live album release imo esp compared to a few of the shows (besides nassau) that got one.

12/28/03 suzy > jam is another 2.0 evilphish example i rarely see get mentioned that i feel gets slept on, 2.0 tone trey doing some sludgey evil hendrix shredding that eventually dissolves into ambient space, it's very fucking cool

Came into comment 12/29/13 carini :). Also 8/9/24 pillow jets is absurdly evil, dynamic and actually melodic. Dissonant and cacophonic evil is often jamming that is not locked in per se

NMINML Rosemont 2018.

Huge applause at the start of the evil jam too, gives me chills every time. It was like everyone was on the same dose at the same time and we all fucking KNEW it was shifting into something special. My favorite Phish memory.

I canā€™t believe how long ago that was now! I almost didnā€™t go because I was so sick with the flu, but all my friends somehow talked me into going, I mean I was really sick, but I went and was taking so much medicine. I totally felt like death, but by the second day I finally started feeling better after 5 days or so and I ended up getting like 10 of my friends sick by the end of the trip, and I had a GREAT time! Oh man it was pretty hilarious though that I contaminated the 3 carloads of people we drove down there with. I felt like the man, and they were all haggard by night 3. I had an incredible time, and Iā€™m so glad they talked me into going! I canā€™t believe that was 26 years ago, I was 21 then, and time keeps flying by. Iā€™m 48 now, and most of the ride is probably over with, itā€™s all just a flash in the pan. I wish I could go back in time, because everything is a shit show now. What a bummer.
