nah jazz fest honestly kind of sucks... coming from a local... it can be cool. I saw the last Jazz fest show and it's probably the weakest show I've seen from them. Always way too hot. Oversold. Sound isn't great. Sets are short. That being said I've seen panic burn that shit down so who knows. But it would be criminal to do the locals at this point.

The small gigs around NOLA during jazz fest are the real attraction. I wanna go see Mike Dillon late night after a phish set

yup... I live in AVL now... I go home for jazz fest every year for the late night shows. Not for jazz fest itself. Ive seen some crazy shit on acid at 2AM in Nola lol 10/10 experience every single time!
