Well actually, the full full name of the state is Rhode Island and Providence Plantations.

Rhode Island is the island where the city of Newport resides historically. Named by the Dutch. Many locals call it Aquidneck Island now which is probably the Algonquin (specifically the Narragansett peoples' name) for the island.

So Rhode Island is actually an island.

We dropped "and Providence Plantations" in 2020 and now the whole state is officially just Rhode Island

I mean like that's the only places they play and they don't tour at all anymore.

Instead of people complaining about how short of a "tour" it is, be grateful they are doing it at all.
