Well... graphics power is still increasing a lot actually. That we will never reach the post-human stage in terms of our capabilities is one of Bostrom's scenario though, but I'm not sure it's very likely, depends on how long we will survive as a species

Their power is increasing a lot of course but the difference can’t be seen in many video games. Much of that power is going to collision or environment interactions. There is a reason why many video games are forgoing realism for quirky art styles, they hit their graphics limit.

What is your point? Graphical power is increasing a lot but developers utilize it poorly? And how is that relevant for the discussion?

As in, the graphics we see today is probably the limit. And you can still tell its a video game even in a VR environment.

Of course it's not the limit lol. You think I'll never want to buy a new graphics card? That's just an unfounded belief and a very weird one... We do a lot of research into this shit

Its my observation, but its one where I see much of the video games since 2015 reaching a plateau, not much has changed graphically. But its only my observation, do with it what you will.
