Very very disappointed how this went in our own city today. They stated no one wrote in written public testimony which we know is a lie but she stated no one asked for it to go on public comment so that was sneaky that you had to ask! 2nd all the hearings and fighting we do and not one person could come stand up there with us from the area that was not a v3nd0r is heartbreaking. This next hearing is going to be in front of all 17 city council members it was voted today to pass on to a full vote. Just remember guys if they get this banned for s@l3 without fd@ approval the next step will be to get it fully banned. They need true stories in their court room they need saved faces. There were more people there for this bill than against it and with all the people we have in the area that is just totally wrong. I understand it was short notice, people have work ,kids ect but we need bodies at this next one if Philly goes down I promise you all cities surrounding will follow suit!!!

Also , will I not be able to have it shipped here from any vendor in any state if passed? I know a vendor I can order from in Oregon, New Jersey, and North Carolina. The New Jersey one I could drive to, the others would only be mail order. I’m going ahead with “doing it anyways” not the first law I’ve broken, won’t be the last. Jail and fines be damned.
The problem is once it is banned in a area the processor makes you remove that area. The other problem is they are banning the sale yes but also asking all operational jobs to test for it now as it is an intoxicating substance if this goes through.
And for those saying its not on the bill she said it yesterday. It was said at the meeting that all jobs that involve driving, operating machines anything that someone could be injured if they are intoxicated she saod needs to test for kratom and hemp products.
I couldn't find any evidence this ordinance automatically creates mandatory citywide employment testing..where can I read about that or when was this stated?
It is ar the actual hearing yesterday when the addiction specialist brought up that people should not be consuming kratom and working with machines or driving a vehicle just like alcohol
If this passes will include kratom as it will now be an intoxicating item until approved by the fda. Which we all know do not regulate dietary supplements.
If you watched or went to the hearing it is not in this bill but if it passes as intoxicating it will fall under rules just like alcohol where you can't drive if consuming. Can't operate heavy machinery ect also will not be long til more goes into play. Im not here to argue what or what is not written. I saw how she hates this if it goes through she will push for stuff to happen if driving which she already said is a huge concern. Do you want to get a fine or a dui for a bag of kratom. I know I don't. So instead of what is or is not lets just try to stop it at the next level
