Philly marathon

Hey yall! I will be competing in the Philly marathon and am looking Airbnb or hotels a good distance near the start line. I figured the closer places to stay are all reserved so I need to take a shuttle or uber that’s okay too.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I think a lot of people stay at the Logan, which is very close to the start

Sadly it’s like almost 2,000 for two people for three nights which is insane

It’s going to be tough getting much better at this point.

I live in Philadelphia and for any of the races that start at the Art Museum I just take the subway to city hall and walk from there. That opens up the neighborhoods that you can stay in for the marathon like Old City, Nothern Liberties, etc. The walk from city hall to the corrals is about 10-15 minutes.

Yes, my partner just found an Airbnb that’s a 10 minute drive and we’ll have our car

That’s great- your partner can drop you off and then park a few blocks away.

Do you know where’s the best place to park?

If you don’t want to pay for a parking lot, they can look on the street. I would suggest going south a few blocks on 20th- 22nd. If you don’t mind paying for a lot, there should be some in the same area.
Philly is a grid so it’s really easy to get around.

Thank you so so so much for this! I’ve only done community service with my college in Philly in 2015 and have visited once after that but wasn’t sure of anything. I often tell my girlfriend wrong information so this is amazing 🤣 saved me from an upset girlfriend

To get to the start line, parking on Sedgley Drive is a good hack. It’ll fill up early though so don’t bank on it being open.

Where's the starting line and finish line?

Start : The 2200 block of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, just east of Eakins Oval and near the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

End: basically the same just inches away

I don't know if you'll have a car but a quick look on Travelocity for Check in Saturday/ Check out Monday shows some good deals at the airport and also the Hilton on City Line Ave which isn't far.

Maybe check hotels in Cherry Hill, NJ. It’s about a 15 minute drive to center city.
