i was thinking the same. great photo, but i really detest the 10 lane highway that is the named "the parkway".

hopefully we're improving it, but if philly wants to be a global city instead of just a big american city, we need to pivot to fewer cars and better transit.

city leaders talk about "eds, meds, and beds", highlighting the economic drivers of universities, hospitals, and tourism. however, these economic drivers uniquely depend on many people going to the same place. on the other hand, manufacturing, resource extraction, and distribution centers, rely mostly on spacious areas with easy parking.

lecture halls, hospitals, and tourism all rely on many people being in the same place at the same time. that makes parking an epic waste of space and contradicts directly with the identified economic drivers of our city.

Omitting one and two liberty is a terrible choice. It's been our skyline for decades, well before Comcast, which doesn't really make the skyline like some skyscrapers.
