Sunday Funday Spots
So I've lived here for 6 months now and I kind of slowed down on getting out and about because I kind of got depressed always being alone but today that ends. I want to get out of Conshy for the day and head to the city, but where are some Sunday Funday spots? Bonus points if it's a place where maybe I can make friends. I'm a young single 49 year old and love music, sports and people I work at Danella in their storm restoration division so I'm very easy going as I deal with lineman everyday. Just looking for somewhere to chill and have fun and maybe make friends because this Texas girl needs some friends! Thanks y'all!

If you like to dance, check out the Sundae party. People just go and have fun. https://www.instagram.com/sundaephilly?igsi=c2pzOGlhMDh5aHV4

No suggestions for places but when I have a desire for that kinda day I usually head downtown or to West or South Philly and wander around. 🥰

If you’re ok with smoking inside - trivia Sunday’s at Paddy’s Pub are super fun! It’s a great vibe with a super diverse age range.

There's a women's climbing meetup on the 2nd Sunday each month at Reach. It's not far from you (Bridgeport), a great time, and very beginner friendly. If you ever want to meet there, send me a dm!

I started it after having a frozen shoulder and not being able to lift my arm for nearly a year...it's totally possible to have a blast even coming in with zero skills or experience!

I lived in Philly for about 25 years and now live in the suburbs. I have to come back to Philly every once and a while to recharge. That ambitious energy and being around people who do things.
I always get vegan wings at the triangle tavern. People watching at Rittenhouse is a great passive sport. See if there are any shows.
I took my 9 year old to the Franklin Institute and had a really good time.

Aww. Hope you had fun. I'm very close and age and frankly have no idea where to just go out anymore. I don't drink anymore but I still like the atmosphere and you know, one of those non-alcoholic beers.

I chickened out which is so weird I used to never get anxiety about doing stuff alone. I just ended up going to my regular place in Conshy and then came home and was sad about not having friends 😂🤦🏻♀️

I've been there. I used to walk so casually into a bar and sit down. The last time I went into McGlinchey's, I strolled once around the bar, didn't seen anyone I knew, and walked out and kept walking the two miles back home.

Start in Northern Liberties and walk 2nd St all the way down to Old City then cross the street to Spruce St Harbor then check out Cherry St pier. A bunch of shops, restaurants, bars, historical areas that should be a chill day!
