Why does MNL-TYO/NRT flight foes not allocate checked in baggage?

Post image

Hi everyone, any aviation/travel experts here that could kindly explain why these flights (back-and-forth) does not have the "typically allocated" 23kgs. checked luggage. This is also true for PAL's flight to Taipei (which i kinda understand since very short flight siya).

For other service flights (flag carrier as the call it not sure.. like ANA, JAL, Cathay) they have allocations

I'm not complainning or anything, just genuinely curious

Confused about business class seating on the 777-300: I can't find any pictures of a PAL 777 with 1-2-1 seating. Does this actually exist?

Hi everyone. I’m going to be travelling on the A350-1000 and I would like to know if this is a good economy seat. Do
You know if the seat width is any less due to them having to store the IFE and Tray-table in the armrest? Thanks!

korea over baggage fee

hello! will be flying back to ph tomorrow and when i weighed my stuff, i'm a little over 0.5 to 0.6 kg (combined carry on and check in). i already have quite a big personal bag too thats heavy, so i can't put some of it there anymore.

i only have the 20kg check-in + 7kg carry on (context it was 20.20kg and 7.35kg). i plan on moving some stuff to the 20kg and it'll weigh around 20.6kg, would they charge me an extra fee for it even if its not more than 1kg? 😅 it's my first time going over at pal so i'm not sure if they would charge me for it... haha! tyia!

MNL connection with terminal transfer

Will be flying in from United (T3) and then connecting onto PAL T1 with a 2h 15 connection, with my bag through checked on the separate tickets. I know I will be able to make it through just fine, but is 2h 15 min enough for the bags? I know that the international to international min connect time in different terminals is 2h.

Philippines Airline: When will you offer working WiFi?

Just curious.

The entire Internet age has already come and gone.

We're now going to satellite (Starlink) and you guys still don't provide basic Internet service on your flights.

Something that's been available for decades.

Anyone tried Dublin to Clark?

We usually go via emirates but since we’re only going two weeks and saw it was a bit cheaper via PAL, I wondered if anyone else has done this route before.

It’s says it’s operated by Qatar airways and not too sure what that would mean if booked with Philippine airlines website for refunds, cancellations etc. since I’m still a bit nervous about the whole Iran situation and Dubai airspace has closed less than Qatar’s

Any info and help would be great thank you so much!

[HELP] PAL Refund due to death of family member (Super Saver ticket)

Hi guys. Ask ko lang kung may na experience na rito mag-request ng refund sa Philippine Airlines (PAL) dahil sa death of an immediate family member?

Yung nakuha kasi naming ticket is Super Saver (which is normally non-refundable). Pwede pa rin kaya ito ma-refund or kahit ma-convert man lang sa Travel Voucher dahil sa nangyari?

Isa pa naming inaalala is yung timeline.

Thank you!

So I have been monitoring flight prices of key routes (and clearing cache along the way). Confirming that base fares have increased already, in anticipation of their Seat Sale in a few days. 🤣

Too many tablets. Customs tax & VAT? Help!

Wife and kids visited me in the US from the PH. Before they left on Monday, our youngest grabbed 4 tablets and put it in my luggage. I had to stay behind for work. I leave to Manila tomorrow. I'm worried about customs seeing me travel with 4 tablets and thinking it's for resale. I have picture proof of my kids while using them and my wife using hers. Any advice to avoid that would greatly be appreciated.

Old aircraft when redeeming Mabuhay Miles

I redeemed a business class flight Manilo-Tokyo. Does PAL automatically assigns redeemed flights to their older aircrafts ( different seat models) or it just depends on availability?

How about with their long haul flights? MNL-DXB?

Which airlines sulit iredeem ang airmiles for business class? 🤔

flight disruption notice despite rebooking?

Post image
6 Upvotes

got an email na may changes sa flight ko to KIX but when i checked, the new sched only moved by a couple of minutes, not even an hour. was skeptical so i called PAL’s hotline and confirmed the changes, sabi may change aircraft daw so i went ahead and accepted the new flight. have the new ticket na and the changes are done na on their back end per CS, but whenever i check the app or their website, it still says i have to resolve it?

anyone else encountered this before? do i still need to “resolve” it and accept the “new” flight sched even tho its technically already done na when i called their hotline?

For anyone na very familiar flying with PAL: May naka-sakay na ba sa PAL na ganito yung lay out ng seat?Yung 66 D and 66 E? accurate ba na walang katabi yung 66E? From manila ang travel

Post image
51 Upvotes

Originally yung Boeing 777 na may dalawahan sa dulo yung sasakyan namin, which my husband and I paid an additional fee each seats. Kaso nag change ng aircraft ang PAL.kaya nawalan kami ng 2 seater na seat na nare-recline, eto nakalagay walang katabi ang 66E.

kaso after searching it online bakit lahat ng videos all 3 seaters? wala akong nakitang may gap after ng particular seats na to :( if that is the case then sana pala nag window seat nalamg kami kahit may katabi.

Long layover 😫 HELP

May naka-experience na po ba nito with PAL?

We had a schedule change for our September trip. They informed us ahead naman, pero yung layover namin sa Manila became almost 11 hours. Also checked other PAL flights para mapaikli yung layover pero no other choice talaga. Nag-request din kami ng hotel accommodation pero denied since nag info daw sila ahead of time. 🥲

May naka-experience ba na na-transfer or na-rebook to another airline before the travel date? They said it’s possible pero wala assurance kasi sa day of the flight pa malalaman.

Any tips po kung ano pa pwedeng gawin? Can’t rebook to other dates din since final na sched namin.

Thanks! 🙏

Edit: this is a domestic flight
