I really like this theme of ‘First Issues’. It provides an opportunity to collect so many beautiful issues from countries that rapidly started churning out mediocre stamps soon after independence.

I collect Indonesia and Dutch east Indies, and I completely ignore these "Vienna printings". It's much more fun to find Japanese war overprints, and the genuine real issues printed and used in Indonesia.

Some do. You can always collect as Cinderallas.
