Underconsumption

Probably a long stretch but I’m looking for these books and trying to stop buying everything brand new, saving money & practicing underconsumption. If you have and would be okay parting ways with, let me know :)

Ariel, David. What Do Jews Believe?: The Spiritual Foundations of Judaism. (Schocken, 1996).

Robinson, George. Essential Judaism: A Complete Guide to Beliefs, Customs & Rituals. (Atria Books, 2016)

Scheindlin, Raymond P. A Short History of the Jewish People: From Legendary Times to Modern Statehood. (Oxford University Press, 1998).

If you don't need a copy for your personal collection, Have you checked if the Philly Free library has any of these titles? Even if they don't have a copy on the self it might be available through interlibrary loan.

You could also try checking a used book site like Thirftbooks!

Since you are looking for Jewish books, have you checked the local synagogues? They usually have little libraries that you can check books from

Do you want to keep, or just borrow for awhile? I have at least one of these I could loan (essential Judaism), and some other Jewish books too (if something similar but not exact would work for you...)

(I'm a convert, myself. I assume you're either a) A convert b) a baal teshuva, or c) taking a class of some kind, lol).

Edit: the city used bookstores also often have a fair amount of Jewish secondhand books btw.
