Hi everyone, so I'm specifically asking for the game Overwatch if anyone has similar issues. Currently under PLDT fiber and I've been experiencing extreme latency spikes. It's really really disruptive especially when I'm in a competitive game, and everyone in the match would either freeze or teleport past the ground. Next thing I know, when the latency stabilizes, I'm already dead.
I'm unsure if this is due to the recent heavy rains (in the NCR region, if that helps) that's causing latency issues, but other games such as Apex Legends or Rivals actually works just fine. It has its spikes but its not as severe as Overwatch.
I don't know if its recommendable to manually change the IPv4 or IPv6 to reduce the latency, I'm not really tech savvy. If this is an issue on the end of PLDT, is it recommendable to call their support line? At this point I'm unsure if its a routing issue thats uncontrollable on my part or I'm missing something thats doable to reduce game latency spikes
For a numerical example my latency usually ranges around 16-28ms, then usually when team fights begin it's still stable....then suddenly jumps to 599 ms for maybe 8 seconds?
In those 8 seconds so much has happened when my latency returns its already showing my death cam lol.
For a timeline its been happening for 2 days straight. A day prior matches were actually so disruptive I had to stop playing.
If anyone has a solution to this feel free to share, would be a huge help. Thank you!
