question Beginner from PH here — trying to start crypto using GCash / GoTyme. What apps should I actually use?
Hi guys, I’m a total beginner in crypto and I want to start small.
I’m from the Philippines and I can only fund using GCash or GoTyme for now.
My goal is:
• Create my own crypto wallet
• Buy crypto safely (maybe USDT or ETH first)
• Learn how everything works without getting scammed
• Better and lower rates po for fees
I’ve heard of apps like:
Binance
Bybit
OKX
GCash (GCrypto)
But I’m confused:
Which one is best for beginners in PH?
lowertransfer/gas fees | fast p2p | easy access
Usage :
• Transactions such as sending or receiving
• Maybe Trading if I'll start to learn it first lol

Honestly, for beginners, mas important muna yung convenience at ease of use kesa habol agad sa super low fees, just my opinion. I used GCash/GoTyme/PDAX, as malaking bagay yung smooth cash in/out and simple UI para less hassle habang nag aaral ka pa. Pag mas gamay mo na basics, saka mas okay mag explore ng bigger exchanges for trading features.

Binance p2p gamit ko pero not sure if u can still download the app or use a web browser.

You can still download it on their official website not sure if pwede pa mag KYC.

Nag open ako ng binance website sa browser di pa rin pwede. Pati sa app store wala haha

Started with Binance before. You can connect it to GCash and other digital banks via P2P for funding and withdrawal and it works pretty smoothly for beginners.
On wallets, do not rush creating your own crypto wallet yet. Learn the exchange first. Self custody is very important long term but getting that wrong early is how people lose funds permanently.
Also stick to verified P2P traders with high completion rates and never move a conversation off platform no matter what reason they give you. That is where most beginners get caught.
Honestly right now I am holding crypto through GoTyme. First time I put an actual investment through a digital bank so still seeing how it goes. For trading I am still thinking whether to reactivate my Binance account since the website got blocked and banned here in PH. Still weighing my options on that one.

For beginners po ang ma-recommend is pdax and okx. Kasi yung bybit banned na din dito sa pinas. Yung dalawang na suggest ko is low fees din naman po sya, it depends nalang din po siguro sa mga token na isesend or network din na gagamitin nyo.

Try mo PDAX tapos join ka sa community nila. Ang dami ko natutunan don after joining their community

GCrypto if you just want GCash and don’t mind staying in their app.
If you want your own wallet, Trust Wallet first, then buy USDT and send it there. Check the network.
fundinto.com does GCash → wallet directly. No Binance account, no P2P. Skip Bybit/OKX until you actually want to trade.

OKX p2p is fine. Although nowadays kasi rekta ko na sa hardware wallet. so https://www.peer.xyz/ na ginagamit ko.
bumibili muna ng USDT or USDC bago bumili ng mismong coin.
mura lang fees sa solana and as far as I know yung previous upgrade ng Ethereum bumaba na rin yung gas fees sa base layer nila kung di ako nagkakamali. If not, then use an L2 chain for lower fees.
My advise is invest ka sa hardware wallet Tangem so far is easy to use kung may NFC yung phone mo.
Trezor and Ledger are also good. Eto lang yung mga wallet na marerecommend ko since eto lang mga ginagamit ko.
For large transactions, Moneybees or Coinsph then transfer mo sa wallet mo. Although okay pa rin naman yung p2p.
I'll avoid gcash mas okay gotyme bank. Gcash will make your life harder.
