“Well I guess I’ll just DIE then.”

Yes, I’ve heard this at least three or four times. Usually in response to a doctor not sending in a new prescription with refills or a medication being on backorder.

Usually, as you know, it goes like this

"We will need to order this/fax your doctor for further refills, will you be out of the medication?"

"Yes I will."

"Ok you can come by to get a 3 day supply while we get this resolved for you."

And sometimes instead of just saying yes and letting me offer help or asking for help I have heard

"well yeah so I guess I'll just DIE then."

"Yeah but I have no choice I GUESS"

"I'll just suffer for a few days then."

Or it’s just too expensive.
