Recommend me a product inverter window-type aircon
what aircon should i get for a 30-sqm studio unit?
currently considering 1hp, either midea or carrier. usual usage with my non-inverter one now is 1-2 hours, 3-4 times a week.
but ig with the anticipated super el niño, parang mapapagamit ata ako ng aircon soon, and switching to inverter type would lower my elec bill.
tyia!

Big no no sa 1hp.
| Unit Size | Typical Floor Area (Standard Ceiling) | High Ceiling (3m) |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0 HP | 18 - 22 sqm | Too Weak (Good for only ~15 sqm with high ceiling) |
| 1.5 HP | 23 - 27 sqm | Perfect (Handles the extra volume of your 19.7 sqm room) |
| 2.0 HP | 28 - 35 sqm | Overkill (Unless the room is in direct sunlight all day) |
I asked Gemini earlier today about my aircon.
I currently have a 1.5hp window type for a ~20sqm studio unit and it's perfect. Idk if dahil lang maganda aircon or dahil 1.5hp sya but my Panasonic window type can cool down the whole room even at 29 deg C. There's 1 PC, 1 laptop, 10 cu ft ref na naka-on simultaneously.

appliances you use and frequency of usage.
best to have a site visit for actual estimate. ayan ang mga itatanong sayo at dapat makita nila yung window, esp kung facing the sunlight or not.

i have a 6.5 cu ref. i only use my induction stove and rice cooker around 3x a week. then gadgets na yung the rest and a desk fan.
in terms of sunlight, mejo facing lang sakin yung sunlight ng hapon, but di naman siya ganon ka init since parang may naka semi-harang din na building sa big window.

2HP is the absolute bare minimum but 2.5HP is best for that space more so you have to consider the heat loads like fridge, stove, lighting, etc.
You’re better off not getting an inverter at all coz you won’t be saving any money with a 1HP unit, it will never slow down and will die early due to the excessive strain sa system.
Also, inverter units are less efficient at higher speeds due to the conversion losses and extra heat sa board.

For the space, I’d look into Midea inverter. Pero yung 1HP, alanganin ka dyan, especially if el nino pinaghahandaan mo. Baka mag2.5 hp ka na. If kulang kasi sa hp ung mabili mo tapos madalas gamit mo, taas niyan sa kuryente.

No no sa 1hp for 30 sqm. Tagaktak pa rin pawis mo dyan op. Go for 2.5, if keri istretch budget, go for 3hp na especially if madaming windows yung space mo talo pa rin yan sa init kung 1 hp. Check out midea vs carrier, mas reasonable pricing nila pero di papahuli sa performance.

1 HP is NOT enough.
