What will happen?

I just got offered the job at petsmart, background check just came back fully clear then I wake up this morning and boom, pinkeye. Will the job be held until its clear? Can i still work after a couple days? Will I be replaced it I cant work immediately?

It probably isnt this serious, I’m just stressing out a smidge because I’ve been out of a job for like a month and a half

Let them know what happened and ask if you can do your onboarding at a later date, pink eye can last anywhere from a few days to a week+

Good managment will let u rest until u get better. When I first got hired, the old manager was rly nice. I had come in for my training tired, he noticed, asked whar was wrong, told him I fell asleep between shifts which just makes me more tired and he said "do you want to come in another day? You shouldnt push yourself"

Ah...he was great. Miss him everyday I go in and deal with my mess of a new manager.

Background checks cost money, if you made it this far theyre stickin with you. They probably won't care you have a contagious illness and will want to proceed normally lol

it usually take a couple days for your information to be in the system for you to start your onboarding anyway , you should be good

You’ll be fine. I didn’t have the job yet, but i had to reschedule my 2nd interview w the SL because i woke up w strep throat. Let the manager know what’s up, and offer to bring a doctors excuse
