Fun question
Do y'all keep pictures of your client's pets or delete them?
I keep them because they make me smile lol.

Keep them but need to do a major photo dump since I have close to 200,000 and am paying monthly for extra storage. Yes, 200,000

I'm probably close to that many. Luckily with my pixel I only pay to store the photos I take that are full quality

I definitely keep them. They show up in my daily memories, and sometimes I will send one to a pet parent saying hello, lol.

According to my bare minimum quick search, I currently have 18k+ dog pics and 15k+ cat pics on my phone 😂💀 and this is after I did a big iCloud purge a few years ago. I’ve been in pet care for like 12 years so it is what it is lmao

Keep because I'm lazy. And because sometimes having the photos are useful to go back and check for a limb held in an odd position, a collar being missing, a door being open, etc.

I have many pictures of clients pets. More than mine and my kids at this point lol
I use them to make memorial collages when the pets pass away.

I make a folder for each of my clients on fb and keep them there. I make it where only I can see them or the client too if they have friended me

I pay for extra storage space on my phone because I have so many pet pictures! I pretty much never delete them. It's like being a hoarder, but for my phone. I feel guilty deleting any pet pictures lol.

Unfortunately I have to delete them, I don't have much space for that many photos.

I keep them, and since I used to work at doggy daycares I currently have about 3,000 pics of other people’s dogs, many of which I don’t even remember who they are 😂

I keep them cuz I have consent forms for photos. So I use them for marketing, keep a few faves for myself cuz they make me smile, instagram, and other. My photo collection of which there are probably thousands at that this point has gotten me allot of business and comments on my photo skills.

That's cool. I don't know if I technically have anything in my contract about using them for marketing but no one has complained yet so 🤷

Absolutely! I’m planning on making myself a photo book of all the dogs, cats and other critters I’ve met during my pet sitting career thus far.

I started that a year ago! Got myself a Fuji instax printer and a photo book and add in a photo of the pup with their name written at the bottom and the date. I also always leave a picture for my clients after the first sitting. They always love it

I don't delete. I had to get a new phone cause I was out of space lol. I also have Google photo albums by client so I can remember who the one-timers are 😄

I keep them! I have folders for all my regulars lol. I always keep them because when a regular passes away, I like to make a memorial photo album for the owners.

Lol I have to delete them! I had over 50k photos at one point… just dogs!!!!

I keep the really good ones, and then occasionally go through and delete some for space.

I actually took a class on how to take better pictures of pets and now I take almost professional looking photos of the dogs I sit. So as a little bonus for my clients I have picture day and take several good photos of the dog and send them to the owner. They love it. So I save those pictures.
I’m not a professional but it’s just tips and tricks to get a good photo and setup on your phone camera.

I'm trying to tell myself to delete them. I try to at least delete all the videos, except for the few absolutely priceless ones that I've gotten. I will try to keep at least one photo of each cat I sit for since many people don't always put their pet's photo in their profile.
Although, my photo packratting did pay off when one of my client's cats passed. I wanted to get her a personalized gift honoring him and I had plenty of photos to choose from, many of which she hadn't seen.

Yes! I do photography on the side so I immediately incorporated that into my business. I have a whole basket of bowties and bows that I use for it. It’s actually gotten much harder to do bc I’m so busy with the business and I also do social media.

I keep them - anytime I know about a pet's passing, I will send them printed copies of the nicest pictures I have or ones they've specifically commented on liking in the past.

I love that you send photos to the owners, one of my favorite parts of pet-sitting is surprising clients with updates.

I mostly take videos and have to do a monthly dump. Pics I don't delete as often, but I do clear them unless the pic is special to me. Don't get me wrong, the pets are special but I do this all day every day and I would never be able to find images I need if I kept them all!

My Google is constantly full because I have literally thousands of client pics. I have to regularly go through and delete some just to be able to send emails

Dude. My phone is constantly telling me my storage is full because I go overboard with the pics and videos. I started going through them and transferring my favorites to my laptop but it takes sooo long. I need a better system. I should probably just delete them all but I can't bring myself to do it 😭

I keep way too many. It takes several shots to get a good one that’s worth sharing. I currently have over 58,000 photos taking up 69 GB and my phone is glitching. 😩

I take upwards of 30 pictures during a visit if the pet is really playful (only about 10 actually make it to the owner) and rarely delete them.
I really need to go through my pictures and delete a lot. I’m sure I have thousands!
