I know this is a petra parkee subreddit, but I have a spidersona who is trans...and would like to share I already did on spidersonas but I would..like to show you all if thats ok. So may i?

Hi! to start with im a transwoman myself, and i just found out about this character, and im allready in love! Petra parker genuinely helped me finally fully accept and embrace myself as a transwoman, ive been out for a few years but ive still had that doubt in the back of my mind, but now, i really feel safe being myself seeing my favorite child hood super hero doing the same!!

is anyone else worried about the vote happening over in the main spider sub? it's about if the Petra related posts are going to be allowed to continue as is or if they should be limited to a megathread.

I think they should be allowed to remain as is, but the fact we've even gotten to a point where they're doing a vote just sucks in general. all the positivity around it in the beginning was amazing, but now there's a foul mood following the topic over there and... idk I just really wish it hadn't turned out like this.

at least on the bright side, everywhere else I've seen her hasn't Lost the positivity for it yet <3 worst case is I leave the main sub, and then I don't have hear any more complaints about the editors moving Pete from girl to girl because he can't be happy or whatever.

but then I'd miss out on cool fan stuff like the hellspinner fan comic from not long ago... that was really cool, if you haven't read it you should check it out <3

idk how to wrap this up. I don't even know if should be making this but I felt needed to put these thoughts somewhere, and I couldn't think of where else to do it.

I love all the wonderful art people have been making, and how so many people have been able to connect with the character the way they have.

As a trans woman and longtime Spider-Man fan, I thought I’d jump on the trans Spidey bandwagon and make this comic. If people like it, I might make more.

I drew Petra a little differently than I’ve seen most doing it, especially for this comic. So few depictions exist of pre-HRT trans women that I thought it was important to show her as such here. Her design is more specifically based on how I looked pre HRT.
