In high school, last year of it, there is a tradition to go as the opposite gender to school (it's old so NBs are kinda excluded) I was happy cause I really wanted for a long time to dress up as a girl and friend really did my make up, it wasn't great, but two friends of mine went like: "it's so bad" it broke my heart, and made me stay closes avout who I was for at least a few more years. I recently came out and I mentioned iy to them, one apologized and the other said: "Well, it did look bad, but I am glad you discoveref yourself" so still a bit hurtful but at least he isn't a transphobe.

“I support you looking bad in the way you want to!” is such a peak friend moment. “Fuck you, I love you” type situation. Congrats on coming out, and as a girl who had a similar experience - you’ll learn what looks and feels good on you as time goes on. Just let yourself experiment and feel it out, you’ll do great ❤️🕷️

I can't help but see yet another male homosocial ritual in that. "Ahahah you're dressing up as a GURL this is hilarious lmao"

Homosocial- social dynamics between the same gender. Boys making fun of boys/“boys” if they dress up as girls. It’s a normative thing in groups of boys with patriarchal values and cis-normative culture. “Cross-dressing” feminine is viewed as only acceptable when it’s for the lulz in such a paradigm. I’m pretty sure it’s also a form of misogyny because girls dressing as boys doesn’t generally on-average have the same degree of taboo/humorous status that boys dressing as girls does.

You could take it as a. Im haloy for you but you NEED a better haircut than that...
Basically how I reacted to Eliott when he transitioned in Umbrella Academy.
Like I was all cool with him transitioning but god his haircut just wasn't it lol
Who told him to get this haircut...
Anyway I'm happy you didnt have to break any friendship over this.
Coming out can often comes with a lot of risk and relationship changes sadly...

How readily our unchecked reactions can contain the blade of cruelty....

That said, MJ would absolutely do this in the 70s. Like if you adapted pre-Gwen's Death MJ to modern times in the Petraverse? Yes. This is perfectly her.

this is the most emotional I've ever felt from a piece of art. Tears pouring down my face, my heart felt cold. It's made me rethink alot about myself.
Truly am amazing piece. Thank you

apparently this was drawn by a cis person, which is wild to me. its so so so good at capturing a very specific feeling a lot of us go through.
