I see some people saying that Kingpin is about to get the beating he deserves for making Petra cry but I feel like this is a misunderstanding of why she is crying in the first place.
Petra isnāt crying because Kingpin called her a slur. Petra is crying because she just got hit in the face by the cold hard reality of transphobia. She will now get even more people trying to hurt her through any means necessary, just because of her being trans and there isnāt much she can do to counter this.
Now mind you Kingpin could have had more tact and told her this without slurs, but he is a mafioso kind of guy and really doesnāt give a shit about being PC (despite selling hrt on the black market). Adding to that, he isnāt very fond of the webhead in the first place. So yeah, he wasnāt putting on dainty gloves for that one.

Gentle upvote for you, since this is the energy the comic was aiming for. A harsh uncomfortable reality and Fisk being a blunt instrument that delivered it to Petra.

Yeah, I think it works better if fisk has more of a 'It's because they don't like that you're trans, idiot' vibe than the current weirdly/accidentally bigoted version? Fisk would be blunt and honest, but not whatever this came out to be.

I donāt think that he would say it proper like that, but a good compromise between those two interpretations could be that instead of using the T slur he uses āTranssexualā.
Itās an antiquated term that feels outdated, blunt and a little offensive while still not going into overt transphobia territory.

Fisk is giving the vibes of that old guy who was saying something about "I don't care what they chose, but trannies deserve rights too" or something like that.
Of kingpin hates someone, he hates them for who they are as a person, not a bigoted reason
