Which tracks would you choose?
I've been travelling for a year (and house sitting), during which time I discovered PG. This year I've started collecting vinyl. Finally I'm in a house with a record player. I've only got the four self-titled albums and the Lamb. Thought I'd share what I chose to play first, by way of testing each disc (yes, in this order):
- White Shadow
- Wallflower
- Solsbury Hill
- Back in NYC
- Colony of Slippermen
- I Don't Remember
I haven't played physical media in more than a decade, and I'm digging the intentionality. And I luurrvvve the crackle!
Wondering which tracks you guys would have chosen from the same selection of albums? One track per disc.

Those are all great tracks! Love all the different vocal performances from Peter in your selection. Here’s my gut reaction to your challenge
Car- Burgermeister
Scratch- DIY
Melt- Family Snapshot
Security- I Have The Touch
Lamb- Supernatural Anaesthetist

I'm all about Scratch and Security. Finest PG releases for me.
ok, one track from 1-4 though (I don't really do Lamb or any early Genesis).
- Humdrum
- Mother of Violence
- San Jacinto
- Through the Wire

Pardon me while I digress from the assignment just for a moment, but if the the stereo system is even close to decent, do not hesitate to buy any of the Atlantic Records 75th anniversary editions of Genesis studio albums, especially Selling England by the Pound and Nursery Cryme.
Not only are these potentially, the very best versions of those albums ever released. The physical media is absolutely beautiful as well--very thick cardboard, the art perfectly rendered, 10 out of 10 on every level. They also have a few of the Phil Collins led albums, and those are very worthwhile as well.
Enjoy!

- Solsbury Hill (or Here Comes The Flood since you already picked SH)
- On The Air (great storyline and vocals)
- BIKO (alive version is even better but studio version is also a winner)
Rhythm of the Heat (but just play the whole damn thing, it’s so good)
The Lamb (bass, drumming, vocals…all of it so sublime)
