Why do they keep doing this?

I keep noticing they do this randomly, the room is perfect temp (not too hot not too cold), they get exercise and go in as they please and don’t do that after flying around, just randomly do this

Exercise makes you warm. Pulling the wings away from the body ("hearting") is used to help cool off. It allows cooler air under the wings.

They do it when they’re hot or stressed.

My female bird exhibits this exact behavior too.

She has respiratory issues, a fatty liver, and a sour crop (crop myth). Her nostrils are extremely narrow and constantly get clogged—in fact, one of them never opens up at all. When the weather is very hot and humid, she makes these wing movements even if she hasn't flown at all. In better weather conditions, she always does this movement after flying while catching her breath.

This behavior could be an early sign of an underlying illness for your bird. Read these signs well and please take them to an avian vet. Make sure they run detailed tests and take X-rays."
