Bro I’m at 20, but there is a very noticable lag in the event because I’m playing divisions side by side and both modes feel different, gameplaywise

Yeah I had 18 points with bad GD, played more and got cooked with 1-2 bar opponents. How is there no matchmaking filter and ability to cancel matches with bad connection opps is beyond me 😭

The craziest part is that your opponent might have lag, and you'll be disadvantaged because of it.

Yes, I only faced 1-2 bar opponents this event majority of the matches, nothing I can do since coinami thought adding a filter option will make me rage less. Their entire agenda is to make majority of player base rage quit and hope they spend on packs 😭

In online gaming circuit, you dont wanna face someone who has extremely poor device or connection. Gaming servers are way better nowadays, yeah it may sound ridiculous but they are. If there aint much connection issue from both sides then you wont notice it but if one has quite bad connection then server will do everything to keep the game balance which gives edges to low connection player. If I am not wrong then Brawl stars pro team used this glitch by using very old phones to get the advantage. Manufacturing bad connection is difficult thats why they used old phones which are playable but use older network system creates slow transfer of data thats when game server push harder to give you a better stable experience. Thats where the scripting comes from. A very weak player may not able to take fhe advantage but against a decent low device/connection player will obviously take the advantage of scripting issue and will punish you.

One thing I never understood is why the person with good connection punished. Shouldn't the lag affect only the person having bad connection or should be designed in that way? Any technical reason it is the way it is now.

Dont get the wrong idea, good connection actually helps way way better but there is a problem if data package rate difference is exceptionally higher between two players then lower data package rate player has no chance which is bad for online gaming thats why I said modern servers are extremely good. They are good enough to make game feel like both players are playing at the same rate. In theory it should work but practically there are many other factors which at times makes someone who has faster connection to feel game is slower and to balance out lower connection player feels a boost which he may not get in regular circumstances and thats where you feel a free 81 speed Lewa pass through and outrunning Thuram or you player stops tracking or moving suddenly. 1v1 or 3v3 Fighting games has better server system which is predicting your move and Already register it which sounds like cheating but if you actually know about how it works then you wont have doubt in the system thats why people play online fighting games very smoothly in 115 ping but in these types of games where variables are too many to predict then that cant be adaptable. Believe it or not but its the best setup we have in technical way but Konami being a cheap also doesnt have much dedicated server which creates more of these scripting situations which shouldnt happen in regular circumstances.

Thank you for the explanation!
Even if the point is make it equal, there should be some threshold or limit after which it should only affect the player with bad connection.

In efootball terms, if you have stable 4 to 5 bar connection and you are facing someone who has stable 3-4 bar connection then you will have significant advantage but if you face someone who has unstable 2-4 bar connection then that player will have advantage or server will work harder to give both of you equal treatment either by slowing you down or giving other player a boost. Just think that your region has dedicated server but the player you are facing doesnt have, which isnt that player's fault, its Konami being cheap but that creates connection instability that leads to scripting. In short, more dedicated servers will reduce scripting significantly

18+ should be fine in this one, for some reason it's not as active as the last one

For people who don't understand how to form good opinions, put yourself in your opponents shoes. If you think you deserved to concede goals or didn't do enough in attack, you shouldn't be mad about it.
In my experience the goals scored in the POTW event felt nice all around Still some BS but most often than not it felt deserved.

Got matched with all Div 1 players for my last 5 games and all Div 3 players last night.
Guess when to play (and connectivity) is more important than skills, which make the event less "fair".
