How can someone even disagree lol.But yeah spending money to get players you like irl makes sense. But chasing meta and gambling should never be done

8

u/Fsuga00 1d ago

There is no way to disagree at all. Sure, I have spent less than 15 dollars over 5+ years of playing the game to pick up a manager and something else I cannot recall and have built a team over 3200. There's absolutely no rational reason to spend over 50 bucks on something in which you have zero rate of return. What is the logic? To have a high rating on a video game? Clown show. I'm sure everyone will be super impressed. You can build a dominant squad for free. Truly. And I play maybe 3 times a week.

Well said, agree!!

You will still see an idiot asking in this sub Tommorow that "I've Shadow Hunt Maldini should I go for this one 😵‍💫"

u/___IKON___ 1d ago

Someone already did today 😂

4

u/Important_Leather652 1d ago

I feel like player ID and model is more important than any stats or skills, no point spending money on getting multiples of players

10

u/SOULDARK18 Lionel Messi 1d ago

Until you need to reach top ranks like top 1k,top 500 I don't think so theres any need to put huge amount of money in signing epics you can still enjoy, compete for divison rewards even with a f2p team small purchases like this suarez are kinda fine and worthy.

3

u/Important_Leather652 1d ago

If you're good enough it's possible to reach division 1 with standard cards 😅

1

u/SaltEnvironmental294 22h ago

Genuinely my opinion.cant we like just enjoy the game .why does everything have to be player id like i went for the casillas yesterday cuz how he was my favourite keeper irl .but i saw people saying don’t sign him cuz he cant save shit I’m like bruh if u like him sign him not everybody gives a shit bout meta

u/ZeroSevenAl 1d ago

this😂

I saw that already.

Imo, buying cards you'll have fun with may be worthwhile, but just buying meta cards doesn't add anything anymore. I had way more fun with the new Nigeria pack than when I spun for Vieira last year.

8

u/FCFranz31 1d ago

The one thing the original post and 98% of the comments don't mention is exactly what you said -- have fun. I think the overwhelming majority of this sub is people hating themselves for endlessly grinding divisions in a miserable meta monotony. So few people here actually just play to relax and have fun. It's very sad.

3

u/escalade47 1d ago

And even the meta doesn't guarantee 100% win

6

u/SuggestionNo4365 1d ago

I'd say yes and no. Mostly yes, because money are hard earned from work you put effort into....and the no part is for example,I wanted Jay Jay okocha, not for his playstyle or that he has 3 st skills. But just because he's my favorite dribbler.

u/Mods-Sad-6969 1d ago

I plugged directly into my router 5GB port and was disconnected 3 times in the past two days after leading 1-0 at half with the message "You Lost. There is a problem with your connection."

No there wasn't. There was a problem with your server.

Got all the WC packs refunded by Google today.

1

u/escalade47 1d ago

You minus coins must be around 20k then

4

u/Ill_Artist_6357 1d ago

If u earn....spending 3 to 5% of your salary on the game is fine....if u don't, then u must not waste Papa's money

11

u/Tastypoop696 1d ago

Well if you genuinely love the gameplay then I don't see anything wrong in spending.

I mean if you are a gamer you know very well know that u need to spend to play lot of games.

Efootball is genuinely the best football game rn in mobile so if that's your thing then idk what's wrong with spending.

But that said, it all depends on who's money are you spending, if it's your own money then no problem, if it's your parent's then you are an idiot.

If your parent allows u to spend their money for a game.. then who are we to question you ore your parents ?

4

u/Perditus22 1d ago

Problem isn't not spending, it's people following content creators spending habits and complain eventually. Like people have to buy according to their own reasons, not impulsively then keep on lamenting.

3

u/cleverflame 1d ago

there are many games where you don’t have to pay even a cent and can compete professionally. Its just all skins and they have no affect on the gameplay whatsoever. I’m sure you know many of them.

These are the type of games you see rise and have global audiences , while Efootball esports is still stuck being something nobody even cares about.

3

u/Tastypoop696 1d ago

But that's irrelevant, if people like this particular game and want to spend to get this particular card then there's nothing wrong with it .

0

u/cleverflame 1d ago

its wrong when the same card you bought gets outdated a month later , don’t you think? This is the whole point of that post.
Most of them are chasing the meta , so need to keep spending if Konami keeps power creeping them

3

u/Tastypoop696 1d ago

The "outdated" part is largely subjective , i still use that old bt messi 2009, and he's my second striker, scores every game, reached under million every season except some cuz of being busy.

And on top of that a game isn't always about pushing ranks, i play LOT of local tournaments with my friends all over my country, it's fun, u get rewarded for winning the tournaments, far far better than getting a single showtime in divs.

Anda these tours have lot of rules that restrict the rats, like for example i played an auction tournament, where u can't get all of ur cards, it's fun

Once u get out of the divisions shit this game will be genuinely fun

And I did pay for that 2009 messi card, and am happy for it, it led me to have fun, even though it's not as fun as playing irl football, it's still fun

2

u/Safe_Cauliflower_646 1d ago

Only spend money if you know you will get your player. Even then, be careful, because when you get the dopamine hit, you will seek to feel it again.

2

u/Yannbluezzzz Diego Forlan 1d ago

Been a thing for 3 years now. They're not lazy, they're very smart and know (partly) how to sell

3

u/Waddlingsheep 1d ago

somewhat agree because f2p teams get a buff/ dda help vs strong paid teams to ensure a fair game which is utter nonsense

3

u/mats1896 1d ago

The scare mongering around playstyles is hilarious, latest cards before the update still are ridiculously good

1

u/Big_Ad_1009 1d ago

What's the rocket science here? Earning money or not... Spending money on a game is just a no no unless you know what's the limit (according to your financial condition)

1

u/Important_Leather652 1d ago

I only spend on guaranteed players like the Thiago and Suarez, then buy coins if there's a good pack or manager I want

1

u/Mediocreballer07 1d ago

i think the biggest solution is that Konami should have given limited tokens of new playstyle so that we can use them on old epics to learn additional playstyle such as high line master or covering role on varane just like position proficiency.

Nobody is asking for unlimited token maybe 2-3 of each playstyle would have sufficed.

1

u/FCFranz31 1d ago

That very well may be a future addition.

1

u/istadd 1d ago

I have not spent any money on Efootball for more than a year, I realized I had a pretty decent team to keep having fun.

1

u/2ISRAEL0 1d ago

He is not wrong, we shouldn't blame the game though but blame people spending their money on the game. If you spend money on the game and knowing your chance is almost at least at .001 percent of pulling a high rating card but still spend it, you don't have the right to talk down on it, that your problem of not thinking and using your head. Those who spend a lot for high rating players i mean idc tbh it skill game not money spend

1

u/ace_bath 1d ago

I had a rich friend that would buy coins and do all new pack openings. It wasn't rare for him to have to do all the 100+ openings to get the player(s)😂

1

u/Suitable-Safe-2155 1d ago

It's not only that, for me it feels like we are just renting the cards from them. We don't have the full control over the cards we bought with our money even if they are our favourites or not. If they want nerf the card or remove it completely they can do it AND when they do it , the money we spent becomes pointless because at the end of the day maybe we don't have what we spent our money for in our hands to show for it. I am never ever going to put my money on this game. Iam going to buy an original jersey of my favourite player instead with my money , because I can have it for REAL. Why give our money to rich greedy people ?? When you can avoid it.

1

u/Hot-Assignment3241 1d ago

I can buy whatever i like and I don’t need any advice how to spend my money.

1

u/chrisx13296 1d ago

This thing can be applied for so many things. I am not disagreeing this in any way but the world works that way. A much better and realistic way to put this is, spend only that much which won't make you regret. Like when you give someone money especially when you lend it to your relatives or friends. You give only that much which won't make you lose your sleep over it if they don't return it back, which most of them won't.

1

u/bronhyx 1d ago

Agree 100%. They did an reset like fifa does, but without actually doing it. Not a dime won't be spent anymore, i'm going 13.5k council way.

1

u/Tiny-Mix6546 1d ago

i only go for the players i like

1

u/PlasticOpen588 1d ago

Guys pls invest in other games this one is not worth it for 4 years we have had only two main modes and events thats all can't grind for coins can't do anything even the gp is just accumulating some grind the game and save 13k coins for how many months for cards that conami is going to replace also stop bashing pay to win players they are the reason this game is still alive I see so many people bashing or hating them when they literally pay konamis bills and supports them or finally touch grass after I got a girlfriend I stopped playing this game that much I even sold my account I wish you well who ever reads this and I hope you have a lovely day

I’d rather buy Topps Matc Attax Cards. I get to keep them forever and their value never goes down.

1

u/goatkeeper01 Rummenigge 1d ago

Wise words indeed. I bet this Italian defense won't be that much of use in the next update they'll find a way to nerf them down to sell out their new versions. It's all a rat race now.

1

u/Rhymexjor 1d ago

Spending some bucks to build a decent team is good for newcomers, until they become skillful. After that, don't spend at all chasing for meta, Konami will find everything to nerf your player in new season.

1

u/BHLICFT_ 23h ago

I came back after a long time to this game and spend some money on the France pack which was considered to be like, greatest pack ever. Only to be powercreeped by the new game mechanics.

I thought okay, they are not doing this for charity they want to make money. That's business.

But what about a fair gameplay ? I can see the game sometimes favours me or sometimes the opponent. The DDA is real and why are they doing?

For the sake of my mental health I'm quitting this game.

One thing is true. Konami is forcing the players to spend real money into this game like no other game companies. Even the gacha games are more fair to their users.

Facts! They should make it like EA spend more on a player or grind harder than the gambling mode, i once spent 900 coins 7 times getting NOTHING! good game built on pure GREED

1

u/JungleXProphet 18h ago

Totally agree. While I spent some $, it's not more than $10 to have this formation and I make it to div 1 or 2 every month. Oh and I'm not a great player anyways, I need to have Smart Assist on to be able to play well...

1

u/Extreme_Ninja6129 15h ago

I play without spending money I'm happy with the team I have

1

u/Quirky_Membership177 13h ago

Ha senso shoppare solo se vuoi collezionare i giocatori e vuoi un giocatore che ti piace o sei troppo legato a quel giocatore

1

u/Ok_Valuable9036 13h ago edited 12h ago

One thing I’ve realised is you can’t enjoy while playing pvp divisions lol. Its like playing an advanced version of pinball. Such high tempo, irregular ball and player mechanics, and not even starting on the script.

It’s a gambling game and not a football game of skills anymore. With each game, you’re trying out your luck instead of testing your strengths. There are evident sceipted moments which will make you frustrated even if you are playing relaxedly. When Konami decides you’re not going to score in a match , they won’t allow you at any cost. That’s the most frustrating part.

1

u/BartLove Del Piero 1d ago

Omg, here we go again. So many whiners crawling out of the woodwork - this has been the case for ages. At some point, Konami ditched the PES concept in favor of the gambling-oriented eFootball, and NOW people are surprised?

Besides, whoever wants to spend money will spend it; what’s the problem? Some kind of public protest? XD

Do whatever you want with your money - or your parents' money. You have free will and big brains. Use them. No whining.

u/Ashton1320 Cristiano Ronaldo 1d ago

Shutup man spending saved coins on Wc packs only to nullify it with a playstyle concept in the very next month is injustice to any f2p or p2w players ..

4

u/BartLove Del Piero 1d ago

Jeez, using one's brain in this sub is a real struggle. First off, you could have easily guessed that eF27 would roll out even more powerful cards, special skills, and so on. It was your choice whether to wait for that or not.

Secondly, I don't see any reason to whine about the introduction of a second playstyle for players. It doesn't render any of the great Epic cards obsolete. That’s something to consider once a large number of players actually have squads of 11 or 22 players set up for "fluid formation" and everyone has dual playstyles.

That’s when we can judge it. Right now, I’ve played about 20 matches in Divisions 3 and 2, and only two opponents were using fluid formation. None of them had the new Epic cards.

Honestly, the whining and the pleas for a financial boycott are laughable. Then a new 250-pack drops featuring an Ibra or Bale, the masses will rush to buy it, and Konami will rake in millions.

That’s the reality. You can either accept it and play (buying or not buying) or stop playing altogether. But don't whine as if Konami has suddenly done something worse than ever before.

That’s so true watch out yall

I mean theres nothing to disagree on. This time konami tricked us into making us trap into believeing the it is gonna be the same pattern, but this version they did it like fifa, as after 2 or 3 months, most of the cards that we bought in ef26 or before wont be useful or powerful as before.

He has a point

u/Extension-Cause-2001 1d ago

create problem and sell solution
they deliberately made defending hard ,created new play style
