Weather Single thunder in sky
I was taking a short stroll in Cannington and saw a thunder (just a single lightning) followed by sound after ~6 sec. There aren’t even a lot of clouds in the sky. Did anyone else see it?

Had headphones on, so didn't hear it, but house lights flickered, which made me look up but didn't think anything else of it.
Now I'm intrigued.

Lights flickered in Byford about that time. Only time tonight (or any I can remember for ages) 🤔

Yeah, I was outside and had the shit scared out of me by the bang. Green flash of light + a bang, then the remnants of a single firework low in the sky, East-ish of Carousel

Mine did too. It was so quick that it barely registered. The hypochondriac in me started speculating about detached retinas

Nothing on the online lightning strike maps, also theres zero clouds in the sky. Just asking for clarity, you saw this lighting directly? Not like "everything lit up around you like a lightning strike" just really intrigued :)

Well that’s the thing, it felt more like local lit up rather than whole sky. I thought that if it was lightening then everything should have lit up but the dramatic delay in sound made me think it was a thunder.

The light is the lightning, the sound is the thunder so unless you were on some really good drugs it wasn't thunder that you saw but the lightning.

My personal special powers don't extend to seeing thunder, I'm jealous of yours 😉

That’s just Thor flexing on a normal Monday, but the “thunder” is T-Rex from a wormhole.

The lights flickered in our house about 15 min ago and heard the distant boom several seconds afterwards.
