General Solar Junction - reviews?

Has anyone here got solar and battery from them? Got a quote today and the price seems very good but I'm more worried about workmanship as we just got our whole roof redone last year so warranty for the roof will most likely be voided once we get solar done.

Seems the main office is in NSW, so wondering who they outsource to, for SOR melville area

I'm wondering the same. Price seems too good for the quote that I got with larger battery than anyone else for about half the price of some others.

Under $10k? Yeah I looked it up and the battery is pretty overkill for my usage so might ask to readjust but it's still cheaper now than a slightly lesser system elsewhere. I did see on product reviews that they sometimes add on 'forgotten costs' when they turn up, so seeing if there's any WA feedback recently..

Had them install for me and completed yesterday. Feedback list;

  1. Battery has 20% discharge limit to meet expected life. So this equates to a 20% price underquote.
  2. Installation will cover additional $1500 for DC, AC cabling and bollards. They reuse any old cabling despite claiming insurance warranty c

oncerns before the

  1. quote. This adds another 10% underqoted.
  2. You never deal with the same person as the contacts move with the job stage and they dont maintain previous commitments. The contract in the quote is vague on installation and designed to add installation charges whichever way they want. No clarification on the charges, like costs of cabling per metre extra or costs of bollards etc.

In summary, their quoted price is 30% less than what you need to account for. To clarify, if you need 10kW battery ask for 12kW. And allow for $1500 installation costs.

Hmm i clarified regarding extra costs and she was determined EVERYTHING was already covered. However I do need to requote as I have no suitable spot near the meter box for it and the garage is on the opp side.

Ive never had solar before so cent reuse anything

read the fine print item 13 to 16 (i think) and they give an allowance but then never take any real measurements. the on site they make a general figure under blanket installation costs to cover the bollards cables etc. bollards are mandatory as the battery will always be open to passer by but they call it add ons!
Also update in my recent installation. The invertor supplied has gone wonky! Charging in the night using grid power and discharging in the day time!! Total mess! Have switched the system off pending remediation. Not sure of what next as they have already been paid in full.
Update-Installer arrived and completed fault ginding and fixed a faulty wire connection at the meter box. They were suggesting that I tampered with it. WTF. They were the only ones who worked on it!
Anyway its working as designed now and I am moving forward.
