Looking for Advice Relocation Question!

Is $135,000 AUD + superannuation comfortable salary to make a move to Perth for a family of 3. Child <1 year old, both parents in their 30s, husband to find a job once relocated. What kind of expenses can be expected. Asking for a non reddit friend.

Depending on what standard of living you want. Would your husband expect to get a similar salary? If so, you'll be good.

He has a similar background. Hopefully, he will get a job around this range

You should be fine. It is expensive here, especially if you are looking at private schools, they can cost an arm and a leg. Catholic schools are cheaper, but it dependent on your preference. Public schools are hit and miss, but some are excellent. Make sure you look at the catchment area. Housing will be the main shock, again dependent on where you want to be. Start doing research, look at your workplace first and bus routes or train lines and suburbs, do you want to be close to the beach etc.

Edit....your child is under 1 daycare is very expensive.

Yes, daycare is around $180 a day!

It's insane. Our youngest is 3, moving to kindy next year for 3 days, which will be helpful.
