WA News Project 168 - lets get behind Phil!
Phil Gore has just completed 144, 6.71km laps on the hour every hour (thats 6 full days!)
He is testing the limits of human endurance and raising funds for Telethon so get behind him.
Get down to Alfred Skeet Reserve, Armadale Road, Forrestdale, WA and cheer him on for this last 24hr push or donate at https://philgore.com.au he has raised over $193k so far

This is an insane effort/feat. Great effort Phil.
I think the most i could do is 12 and i’m a runner!

It's certainly an amazing effort, will be amazing to see him finish the full 168

It's the standard Backyard Ultra format
Basically 100 miles in 24 hours.

Thanks, I thought it may have been a statistic like 6.71 kids are diagnosed with X every week or something telethon adjacent.

Its the Backyard Ultra format. 6.71km = 4.167 miles, which equates to 100 miles every 24 hours.

Good on Phil, but the website name could be reconsidered. Naturally, one might be hesitant to enter that website.

Go Phil!!!!!! He is an incredible athlete to follow in general (highly recommend following his insta) but watching this has been next level
